Fruit Fly by Josh Silver is a satirical thriller that follows Mallory, a once famous author struggling with writer's block. Desperate to save her career, she meets Leo, a gay, struggling addict living under a bridge who engages in sex work for survival. The author turns Leo's story of trauma and tragedy into her next best-selling book.

The Inklings Book Club host, Jack Edwards loved the book so much that he gifted it to The Odyssey actress Anne Hathaway who happily accepted "gimme, gimme, gimme, I can't wait".
A24 has already snagged the option to turn the book into a miniseries after a competitive bidding war just 4 months after its original UK publication date in April. Josh Silver will executive produce.
Fruit Fly is Josh Silver’s debut adult novel. Silver previously authored three YA novels: Happy Head, Dead Happy, and Erase Me. Before becoming an author, Silver was a Broadway actor who later changed careers to become a mental health nurse for teens in the UK.
