Canada kicks off its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on Friday against Bosnia-Herzegovina at BMO Field in Toronto, and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the host nation. This is just Canada’s third World Cup appearance ever, following 1986 and 2022, and the first time the team has made it to back-to-back tournaments. Granted, they got in automatically as co-hosts this time around alongside the US and Mexico, but the home crowd will still be electric.

Jesse Marsch, the American manager who took over the national team job, will be on the sideline leading Canada through Group B, which also includes Qatar and Switzerland. As for Bosnia-Herzegovina, they’re coming in with some momentum after knocking Italy out of qualifying in the playoff final back in March. Veterans Edin Dzeko and Sead Kolasinac are the only players on the current squad who were part of the country’s only previous World Cup appearance back in 2014.

TSN is carrying all 104 matches in English, with pre-game coverage kicking off at 11:00 AM EDT. RDS has the full French-language broadcast. CTV is also airing this one for free over the air, making it one of 30 select matches available on network TV throughout the tournament. French viewers can catch it on Noovo as well.
