From riociguat to mosliciguat: Giessen lung research advances new therapeutic principle for pulmonary vascular disease

Promising Phase 2 results from the international PHocus study point to the potential of the investigational inhaled drug mosliciguat for patients with pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). In 135 patients at 87 centers in 20 countries, mosliciguat achieved a 56.3% placebo-adjusted reduction in pulmonary vascular resistance at Week 16 and significantly improved exercise capacity. The results support further clinical development, with a global Phase 3 trial in approximately 375 patients already underway.
