Stellantis recalling nearly 1 million vehicles due to rearview camera issue

Stellantis is recalling more than 950,000 vehicles because radio software may disrupt the rearview camera from appearing on the vehicle’s media screen. The recall includes nearly 850,000 vehicles in the United States and more than 100,000 in Canada, Mexico and other markets.
The cars are 2026 and 27 model year Chrysler Pacific, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid and Voyager, Dodge Charger, Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, Wrangler and Ram 1500, 2500 and ProMaster vehicles.
Affected vehicles are certain model years:
2026-27 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid and Voyager minivans
2026-27 Dodge Charger vehicles
2026 Jeep® Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L and Wrangler vehicles
2026 Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups and ProMaster and ProMaster EV vans
Customers will receive an over-the-air radio software update across all affected brands. A prompt will appear on the vehicle’s media screen when the update is available. If the rearview camera image does not appear, drivers should remain aware of their surroundings using their mirrors when reversing.
The company is unaware of any related accidents or injuries.
Recall notices will also be mailed to affected customers in September with additional info and instructions.
