The West faces economic disaster in the immediate future because of it own suicidal policies. Its only solution is a major war that it is bound to lose. The ruling class of the West can think of no other way to maintain its economic power than a major war. All the standards of civilization on which the West once prided itself have been abandoned for raw power. The only morality is that might makes right, there is no other right. Alastair asks who or what is leading this charge to war. I would say it is just this financial ruling class that has gone insane as humanity evolves beyond the colonialism that gave them the wealth and power that they feel ebbing away. Trump’s performance at the UN was truly worthy of a strait jacket in its psychotic denial of reality.
