Netflix's new teen drama, Crew Girl, has captivated audiences after debuting on the streaming platform earlier this month. The sports drama centres on teenage rower Teagan Tao, who relocates to a small town following a family scandal and joins the all-boys crew team at an elite prep school.

The series boasts a cast of fresh talent including Miku Martineau, Kyle Clark and Samuel Braun. Among the familiar faces in the cast is Canadian actress Jessica Paré - and she looks worlds away from her iconic Mad Men role.

Jessica, who plays Teagan's mother Ella, is famed for playing Megan Calvet Draper in the hit 60s drama. She's also known for her roles in SEAL Team, and Brooklyn. But did you know that her other half is also a famous face? Keep reading to find out more about Jessica's life off-screen.

Jessica is in a relationship with Canadian musician John Kastner. 

John, who hails from Jessica's native Quebec, is best known as the singer of the hardcore punk band The Asexuals. The 57-year-old is also the singer-guitarist for the alternative band Doughboys and the alternative band All Systems Go!.

The low-key pair are thought to have begun dating in 2012. 

Prior to their relationship, both parties were previously married: Jessica to writer and producer Joseph M. Smith and John to actress Nicole DeBoer.

While Jessica tends to keep details about her personal life under wraps, John frequently shares insights into their home life on Instagram.

Back in 2024, John shared a gushing tribute to his partner to mark the release of a SEAL Team episode she directed. 

"This is a picture of me and my best friend," he penned alongside a snap of the pair. "She happens to be a kick ass actor and now an amazing director. She has an episode of Seal Team that she directed for CBS airing on Paramount + today. Episode 5 of season 7. Jessica and John welcomed their first child, a son named Blues Anthony Paré Kastner, in March 2015. 

At the time, John posted the happy news on Instagram alongside a heartwarming photo of his daughter Summer – whom he welcomed in 2007 during his marriage to actress Nicole de Boer – holding her newborn brother. In the caption, he wrote: "Please meet Blues Anthony Paré Kastner…"

In 2022, the family grew once more with the arrival of their newest addition, baby boy Auggie. Announcing the happy news on Instagram alongside a photo of the newborn, John penned: "Little Auggie… Summer and Bluesy’s brother."
