As Tokyo Game Show 2026 begins, we got a release date for the worldwide debut of Terranigma and a confirmation that three different types of physical copy editions are on the way. The game will appear everywhere on January 14, 2027. Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X standard, Foiled standard, SteelBook, and Gaia Editions will appear. It will also be playable at TGS 2026.

First, here’s the Terranigma release date trailer. It offers a better look at how this rerelease will look on consoles and PCs. This includes teasers for things like the CRT filter and the new Arranged Mode. That option adds quality of life elements like a quick save, mini map, rebalancing, and rewind features. There will also be Museum and Music Player options, and players can choose their background while they play.

As for the physical copies, the standard version is $39.99 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X and $44.99 on the Switch 2. If purchased through Clear River or Limited Run Games, there will be a limited standard version with a foil cover. $64.99 SteelBook editions come with an additional case with Ark on it. The $199.99 Gaia Edition comes with the game, an art book, the soundtrack on a CD, a cloth map, an enamel pin of Ark, a Pandora’s Box music box that plays “Ellie’s Theme,” and a figure of Yomi.

The Terranigma release date is January 14, 2027. It will appear on the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X physical copies of Terranigma will appear via places like Limited Run and Clear River Games. TGS 2026 runs September 17-21, 2026.
