French fashion house Louis Vuitton is spotlighting the output of its ateliers in Canada’s largest city.

Savoir-Faire Toronto, on view at the house’s Bloor Street store from Sept. 24 through Oct. 4, gathers ready-to-wear, trunks, watches, jewelry, leather goods and home pieces into a single presentation. The pop-up is the latest in Louis Vuitton’s series of regional savoir-faire showcases, which put the maison’s specialized crafts in front of local clientele.

Canadian exclusives

Several Objets Nomades designs and high jewelry pieces can be purchased only in Canada at the Toronto presentation.

Among them is a one-of-a-kind Cocoon Couture Curupira, a version of Brazilian design studio Estúdio Campana’s Cocoon chair embroidered with enameled stones and sequins in reference to the mythical guardian of Brazil’s forests.

Tableware is also on offer. The Dolce Vita set from the Art of Dining line reinterprets the Monogram flower, while the Animali Fantastici set pays tribute to Italian futurist Fortunato Depero.

On the jewelry side, the house is showing the Galaxie Sautoir necklace in white gold and diamonds, LV Color Emerald earrings and designs from the Idylle Blossom collection.

A handful of hardsided trunks are making their Canadian debut. The Malle Vin is built to host a wine tasting, while the Courrier Lozine 110 Monogram Asnières Bloom draws on a stained-glass window at the Vuitton family home in Asnières-sur-Seine, France.

The Lipstick Trunk and Malle Horlogère are also displayed, along with the Nano Set Mother of Pearl, a quartet of embellished Nano Capucines handbags stored in a Monogram trunk.

Earlier this month, the house unveiled its Kubic armchair, a reworking of a 1923 Pierre Legrain design, alongside new Objets Nomades pieces during Paris Design Week (see story).
