September 22, 2026, URL Media, 200 years of the Black press meets a new fight for the vote

Last week’s Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., highlighted the urgency of the current moment while reminding everyone that this is the same battle Black Americans have fought for generations.

URL Media, along with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and the Washington Association of Black Journalists, dug into the media side of the equation in a morning event Thursday, Sept. 17 at the National Association of Broadcasters headquarters.
