Karl Stefanovic has returned to his YouTube series after a three-week absence - and he's come out swinging. 

The ousted Today show host took aim at Anthony Albanese in a clip shared to social media on Wednesday, as he questioned rising petrol prices and the 'diabolical' state of Australia. 

'G'day folks, I am back in the country, and God it is good to be home. I am ready to rumble! God, what is happening out there, it is just diabolical,' Karl began. 

He then took a pointed jab at the Prime Minister's recent efforts to regulate artificial intelligence, which has been heavily criticised by conservative leaders, including US president Donald Trump. 

'Albo is overseas rattling on about some AI framework or guidelines for the world to take on, without the US and China, who are in a complete race of their own,' he said.

'It is complete and utter bulls**t.'

He added that rising petrol costs were also impacting Australians, who he said were feeling 'tired' and looking for some effective solutions.

'What's the distraction? Look here, a petrol station without its prices! You know what that means? Diesel at three dollars a litre,' he sniped.

'I know you are all tired, but do not lay down. It is time to stand up, rumble in the jungle! Get busy people, I'm back! Message me people, let's get busy getting the country back on track!'

It comes after the controversial media veteran dropped a new episode of The Karl Stefanovic Show last week with minimal fanfare. 

He launched into the video without addressing his break, sitting down for a chat with billionaire Adrian Portelli. 

In the 35-minute interview, the LMCT+ founder was drawn on a wide range of topics, which included Portelli's criticism of government policies that have affected his business. 

Portelli said he was 'packing up and moving' and had relocated much of his life and business to Dubai to circumvent issues he was facing in Australia. 

Karl's fans were delighted to see him back behind the wheel of the beleaguered podcast venture, with many sharing their support in the comments section on YouTube.

'Good to see you back, Karl,' read the top comment, while another person said: 'Where have you been, Karl?'

It comes after Karl's podcast business partner launched urgent Supreme Court action to stop the former TV star from forcing her out of the venture they built together.

Keshnee Ibrahim filed an application in the Supreme Court last week seeking to prevent Karl from removing her as a director of 123 Podcast Pty Ltd, the parent company of The Karl Stefanovic Show, at a meeting scheduled for Friday.

She is also asking the court to order Karl to buy out her 45 per cent stake in the business at a reasonable market price.
