DOHA, September 29. /TASS/. The protraction of the armed conflict between the United States and Iran in the Middle East and the regional instability carry grave consequences for the international economy, Official Spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry Majed bin Mohammed Al-Ansari said.

"The question is how long can international economy withstand the results of what's happening in our region?" the spokesman said at a briefing. The Middle Eastern region is providing "the world not only with energy products, but products that are very important to international food security, like urea, for example, for international industry, like helium, petrochemicals, aluminum," the diplomat said.

"With winter coming right now, we will see even the numbers becoming even more dangerous," Al-Ansari stressed. The crisis has already entailed the decline in yields in vulnerable countries and the return to coal use in regions where it consumption wads declining before, he added.
