СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASAISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Thursday inaugurated Huawei’s national-level Spare Parts Repair Centre in Islamabad to build local repair capacity, reduce reliance on overseas services, and strengthen Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure.
Huawei Pakistan CEO Ethan Sun was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication said that Digital Nation Pakistan is built on the vision of developing a skilled, future-ready workforce that can compete and create value in global markets. She emphasised that Pakistan is moving decisively from being a consumer of technology to becoming a creator, builder and exporter of digital solutions, powered by the skills and innovation of its people.
The Minister said that the establishment of the Repair Centre represents an important step in strengthening Pakistan’s digital and telecom ecosystem, while creating greater local capacity and expertise. She appreciated Huawei’s investment in Pakistan and its commitment to knowledge transfer and capacity building, noting that such partnerships strengthen the resilience of the country’s telecom infrastructure and contribute to a more capable, connected and digitally empowered Pakistan.
Ethan Sun, CEO of Huawei Pakistan, said: “Huawei is proud to partner with Pakistan in building sustainable technical expertise. This centre reflects our vision of translating global technology into local capability, ensuring faster service and stronger networks for the country.”
