A section of the East-West Road in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been washed away following heavy flooding in the area.

The development has raised concerns among motorists and residents, as the damaged portion of the major highway could disrupt traffic and pose a serious danger to road users.

DAILY POST reports that the incident reportedly occurred following torrential rainfall, which caused floodwaters to erode part of the road, leaving a section of the highway severely damaged.

Motorists have been urged to exercise caution while plying the affected route and avoid the damaged section where possible.

Authorities are expected to assess the extent of the damage and take steps to prevent further deterioration and restore the road for safe use.
