Dr Katerina Antoniou, Assistant Professor in Tourism and International Relations and Course Leader of BA (Hons) Hospitality and Tourism Management, Dr Aspasia Simillidou, Assistant Professor in Tourism and Emotional Leadership and Course Leader of MSc Human Resources Management, and Dr Iordanis Katemliadis, Lecturer in Destination Marketing and Tourism and Course Leader of MA Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management, participated in an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), co-developed by UCLan Cyprus and the University of Rijeka, Croatia.
The programme, titled “Sustainable Tourism and Regional Development”, brought together students from six European countries and featured a series of online and onsite training activities focused on sustainability, tourism, and regional development.
The virtual component took place on 1–2 June 2026, with contributions from UCLan Cyprus academics covering topics including sustainable consumption and tourist behaviour, human sustainability, and destination management as a tool for sustainable and regional development.
The initiative highlights UCLan Cyprus’ continued commitment to international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of sustainable practices through European partnerships.
