Explore how to use art as a tool for relaxation, stress-reduction and mindful contemplation with Mikhayla Harrell, Ogden Museum Educator and yoga and meditation instructor, on Thursdays at the museum. The meditation will always be inspired by a work of Southern art in Ogden Museum. Different styles of meditation will be explored throughout the year, including mindfulness, walking meditation and Vipassana techniques.

In Buddhist traditions, learning and practice is always free, but the practice of Dāna is an act of practicing generosity. Please consider a donation to help the museum continue presenting creative arts programming inspired by Southern art and artists. This program is free with admission. If you are a Louisiana resident, admission is free on Thursdays. All experience levels are welcome. Chairs are provided, but please feel free to bring your own meditation cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor. 12:30 pm–1 pm. Advanced registration is preferred at ogdenmuseum.org.
