A teenager was shot and killed outside a house party in the southwest Las Vegas Valley early Sunday morning, police said.

Detectives have not found or arrested the shooter, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Robert Price said at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Price said police received a 911 call around 2 a.m. Sunday reporting gunfire at the 7200 block of Atascadero Creek Court, near South Jones Boulevard and West Warm Springs Road.

Officers at the scene found a man, later identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as 18-year-old Dzale Murrel, with gunshot wounds in the driveway of a residence where he was later pronounced dead, Price said. He added that police believe the house was an Airbnb.

A group of people started a fight in the house’s driveway, Price said. One person pulled out a gun during the fight, shot and killed the teen and fled the area, he added.

“The individual’s still outstanding; however, we do have a lot of people that attended the party that’s talking to us right now,” Price said. Police tape and patrol cars could be seen at the block of the shooting Sunday morning.

An Airbnb spokesperson said in an email that the company has a “strict ban on disruptive parties” and has suspended both the residence’s listing on its website and the booking guest’s account. Airbnb will support Metro in their investigation, the spokesperson added.

Price encouraged anyone with information on the shooting to contact Metro’s Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or homicide@lvmpd.com. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
