SHELDON, IOWA — Rome Grinding Solutions, a leading, family-owned, US-based industrial grinder manufacturer, marks its 50^th anniversary in 2026.

Customers and industry leaders will have opportunities to celebrate this milestone with Rome throughout this anniversary year at PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago, and at IPPE 2027 in Atlanta. Rome will be showcasing its industrial grinding equipment, cutting-edge add-ons and aftermarket services throughout the year.

“What started in our family’s basement has grown into a 70,000-square-foot production facility, with patented solutions and lifelong relationships with our customers,” said Kelley J. Newgard, owner and chief financial officer, Rome Grinding Solutions. “We’re grateful for every client, team member, and partner for making this accomplishment possible. Thank you for your trust and for being a fundamental part of the Rome family’s legacy over the past five decades.”

Rome Grinding Solutions was founded in 1976 in a family basement in Ankeny, Iowa. Since 2015, Kate Rome has spearheaded the company’s development, growth and rise to industry-leading status, creating unprecedented momentum as Rome enters its fifth decade of operations, according to the company. Over 50 years, Rome has grown from offering  a single service to offering four original grinder lines, securing four patents, and delivering exceptional aftermarket services, audits, training and in-house manufacturing capabilities. Rome has grown with its customers to help keep food production as safe as possible, the company said.
