Andy Cohen’s confession earlier this week about how much he pays his 23-year-old babysitter made his fellow SiriusXM radio host, Jeff Lewis, roast him to his face.
Cohen, 58, revealed the rate in question while chatting with Lewis during Monday’s episode of Andy Cohen Live.
Cohen said he paid his babysitter, the daughter of his close friend, $30 an hour to watch his 7-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter for two hours.
This led Lewis to call Cohen, who has an estimated net worth of $50 million, “cheap.”
“Especially from someone with your money,” Lewis added. “[The babysitter] was there for two hours, and you gave her 60 bucks? Did that even cover the cab?”
Cohen clarified that he paid her $70 for a babysitting shift that lasted two hours and 15 minutes.
Lewis responded, “I probably would’ve given her $100 for two hours, two kids.”
Lewis then shared that he pays a caregiver $37 per hour to watch his 9-year-old daughter.
Cohen, who is dating businessman Kevin Sobieski, opened up about how becoming a dad at 50 “changed me in every way” in a May 2023 CBS News interview.
“My priorities have completely shifted. I think my sense of accomplishment has totally changed,” he shared. Cohen welcomed his son, Benjamin, in 2019, and his daughter, Lucy, in 2022 via surrogate.
“Even just getting your kids breakfast and getting them out to school,” he continued. “When I drop him off at school, I’m like, ‘You did it, dude! That was a rough two-and-a-half hours, you know?’”
