Parenting is a sometimes-chaotic job for everyone, even Kim Kardashian. Luckily Kardashian, who has four children with her ex-husband, Kanye West, has plenty of help with her kids. In a recent profile by the Sunday Times Style Magazine, Kardashian shared the number of nannies she employs, and the internet was shocked.

“Kardashian has one nanny on duty, four on rotation,” the Sunday Times reports. “She takes her children to school every day and collects them, and has dinner with them every evening.”

“I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” Kardashian said in the interview. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”

With so much of Kardashian’s own personal life captured on reality television and Instagram, where she has close to 350 million followers, one may think she’d be quick to thrust her kids into the spotlight, but Kardashian shared that she does “worry about” how much they’re exposed to being shared publicly.

She said her eldest daughter, North West, 13, “loves it a little bit more than the rest,” admitting that she “holds her back” from too much exposure. Still, she released an EP this year and appeared on the cover of Dazed magazine.

“All she wants to do is forward-facing projects,” Kardashian said of her daughter. “And so it’s like us really kind of trying to savor those moments and not doing everything that comes her way, so we can really make sure that we manage it the right way. And with her, since it’s more music-related, that is something that her dad and I have better communication about. We make sure that we’re aligned and that she’s in projects that we both approve.”

Another parenting topic that’s important to Kardashian? Wealth, and keeping her kids hard-working and humble in the face of the family’s net worth.

“It’s something I talk to my kids about constantly, about hard work, never taking things for granted, always having gratitude,” the 45-year-old shared. “I lead by example. I’m really open with them about my work, all of the hard work that I put into my law studies, and they’re proud. I think that you can have a big life and still have that spirit in you. But it is more challenging.”
