Randall Weddle, the mayor of London, Kentucky, rolls around town in a $160,000 Lamborghini and hands out Louis Vuiton gift boxes at parties, but a new scandal tells another story.

A small-town mayor portrays himself as a man with a taste for the finer things, but behind the scenes, his extravagant lifestyle is beginning to unravel as years of alleged deceit and deception come to light.

Italian sports car company Lamborghini claims that London, Kentucky Mayor Randall Weddle owes them more than $60,000 on a vehicle loan after allegedly failing to make payments on his 2019 Lamborghini Urus since February, according to a civil suit obtained by WKYT.

London is a quaint town about 140 miles south of Louisville.

Lamborghini Financial Services, Inc. has asked the court to grant a repossession order to take the vehicle from the 45-year-old politician, and for him to pay his outstanding balance, the filing stated.

Weddle has 20 days to file a written response after he is served, but in a statement to the Daily Mail, he claimed the case has been thrown out.

'Yeah, that's been dismissed as we speak! Better check your sources,' Weddle said.

A Laurel County Court clerk told the Daily Mail that nothing has been filed in this case as of Tuesday afternoon, and that it remains active. The public online court portal reflects that as well.

The legal action filed against the mayor, who earns $64,000 a year, is just the latest in a string of alleged scandals he's been accused of.

Randall Weddle (pictured with his wife), the mayor of London, Kentucky, has been sued by Lamborghini Financial Services, Inc. for owing the company more than $60,000 in payments for his 2019 Lamborghini Urus

The latest lawsuit from Lamborghini comes after he was previously accused by American Express of owing more than $713,000. That case remains active and Weddle has not responded to the allegations made against him.

He has also been indicted for allegedly making illegal election contributions to a Democratic governor. Weddle pleaded not guilty on March 31 and is due back in court on July 15.

The mayor was also recently ruled ineligible to run for mayor again due to a dispute over his residence.

All the while, he and his family continue to flaunt their lavish lifestyles on social media.

Just three years ago, Weddle threw a big party for his wife, Victoria Weddle, to celebrate her 40th birthday, social media posts show.

At the big bash, Victoria, 43, donned a red bodycon leather dress and black heels as she clutched a nearly $5,000 Louis Vuitton handbag.

Guests also appeared to get a taste of the family's opulent taste, with Weddle displaying a mountain of the familiar Imperial Saffron-colored Louis Vuitton boxes wrapped in a cobalt blue ribbon.

Exactly what was inside the designer boxes is unclear, but the party appeared to be a Paris-themed celebration.

Weddle also splurged on a custom cake that resembled Louis Vuitton suitcases.

Another feature included a tall Eiffel Tower structure that held cookies and Chanel signs, the images show.

The Weddles appear to share two sons and one daughter together, and recently welcomed grandchildren, according to social media.

They live in a nearly $700,000 four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Keavy - about 20 minutes outside of London.

That home was recently the focus of another legal saga involving Weddle after a judge ruled that he does not meet the residency requirement to run for reelection in November.

An emergency motion for removal was granted by Judge Michael O. Caperton last month after finding that the businessman turned politician is not a 'bona fide candidate' for the upcoming mayoral election in London.

Under state law, mayoral candidates must be residents of the city they represent for no less than one year prior to the election.

That all came to light after petitioners said that Weddle only owns a property in London, but actually resides in Keavy, the order stated.

Weddle and his wife live at the home in Keavy, and he owns an $85,000 property in London, public records reviewed by the Daily Mail state.

After he was denied running for mayor again, Weddle said he 'respectfully' disagreed with the decision.

'I have always believed that public service is about showing up, doing the work, and putting the people of London first. While I respectfully disagree with today's decision, I accept it and remain grateful to Judge Caperton for his careful consideration of this matter.

'Most importantly, I want to thank the people of London for the trust you have placed in me. Serving as your mayor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. My focus now is exactly where it has always been: serving this city. I intend to finish my term strong, continue working every day on behalf of our community, and keep doing the job the people elected me to do,' he said in a statement.

The couple lives in a near $700,000 four-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Keavy - about 20 minutes outside of London

Last month, a judge ruled that Weddle cannot run for reelection in November because he was found to live outside of London. Under state law, mayoral candidates must be residents of the city they represent for no less than one year prior to the election

Prior to the Lamborghini scandal, American Express took legal action against Weddle after finding that he and a recycling company he has ties to have $713,851.76 in unpaid corporate credit card debt, according to the lawsuit reviewed by the Daily Mail.

Weddle, who is the primary agent for BC Recycling LLC, did not make the minimum payment of $692,000 on the company's American Express corporate Gold Card in early May, the filing stated.

The bank has argued that he and the company were made aware of the credit card terms but have failed to make payments. American Express has asked for the remaining balance and court costs to be paid in full.

And in March, just two months before that lawsuit, Weddle was indicted by a grand jury for making illegal contributions to the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) and Governor Andy Beshear's campaign.

Weddle was indicted on two counts of exceeding legal contribution limits during Beshear's 2023 reelection campaign and two counts of exceeding legal contribution limits to the KDP, Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman said in a press release.

In March, Weddle (pictured with his wife) was indicted by a grand jury for making illegal contributions to the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) and Governor Andy Beshear's campaign

In April 2023, the Kentucky Lantern reported that Beshear and the KDP received more than $300,000 the previous year, and that half of those who donated were people connected to Weddle and his businesses.

After that got out, Beshear's campaign refunded $12,000 of its contributions, and the KDP gave back $190,000.

The Beshear campaign also determined that the money was donated on a credit card that belonged to Weddle and his wife, not the people who were believed to be connected to the mayor.

At that time, Kentucky law stated that people could only give $2,000 per election to a candidate and $5,000 to a state party annually.

The Daily Mail contacted Weddle for comment on the other allegations against him. Lamborghini has also been approached for comment.
