I’m working through the booking experience for a small local service business and would appreciate opinions from people who have tested these flows in practice.
Is it usually better to start with a short enquiry form and a clear follow-up process, or should a business build a full calendar-based booking system from the beginning?
The business offers appointment-based services, so the flow needs to work well on mobile, avoid asking for unnecessary information, and clearly explain what happens after someone submits a request.
What would you prioritize first: fewer form fields, live availability, service-specific landing pages, or automated confirmations? I’m especially interested in lessons from anyone who has measured drop-off or improved conversions after changing a booking flow.
