The National UFO Historical Records Center (NUFOHRC) is now based at MLK Elementary School in Rio Rancho, NM, and houses the largest collection of UFO/UAP historical records in the United States.
The NUFOHRC is currently housed in the portable classrooms at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, as part of a partnership with Rio Rancho Public Schools. This arrangement provides a semi‑permanent home for the archive while also allowing students to access the materials for educational purposes.
The NUFOHRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to collecting, preserving, and digitizing UFO/UAP historical materials, and promoting research and public education on the subject.
Its goal is to provide a credible, organized repository for UFO history, free from the influence of conspiracy theories, and to make these records accessible to researchers, students, and the public.

The collection is estimated to be between 50,000 and 75,000 files.
The archive is open to the public by appointment, with at least two weeks’ notice required for visits nufohrc.org.
Materials are used in classrooms to teach math, physics, history, and critical thinking.
Research: Researchers from around the world visit to study the files, and the center is working on digitizing the collection and using AI to connect related records.
