The Nevada Highway Patrol said it was investigating a fatal crash just off Interstate 11 near Boulder City on Thursday.

The Highway Patrol said that troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash just north of mile marker 9 at 5:21 p.m.

There were no road closures, “since the vehicle traveled off the roadway into desert area,” trooper Shawn Haggstrom said in an email.

The victim, described only as male, was confirmed dead at the scene, troopers said.

The Highway Patrol said there may be a short closure on the northbound side of I-11 for up to 30 minutes, when investigators start their investigation.
