Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd.’s hit soccer series AOASHI premiered its second season over the weekend on Crunchyroll! In celebration, a creditless version of the anime’s opening animation segment, set to “Fortress Defense” by rock band 10-FEET, and ending animation, set to “Triangle” by singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi, are now available!

Opening on Ashito and the other Team A first-years, the animation highlights soccer strategies with an overlay featuring “cerebral soccer” imagery that provides a glimpse into Ashito’s perspective as a player. As the players face formidable rivals and grow as teammates, the animation shifts to them honing their style of play in high-level matches. Highlighting members of the main cast and their struggles, the opening animation builds anticipation for the season ahead by asking how these characters will overcome the walls in front of them and continue to grow!

10-FEET’s “Fortress Defense” digital single is now available for purchase and play on a variety of music streaming platforms using the following link: https://lnk.to/10feet_fd

At dusk, while on a bus to Esperion’s campus, Ashito reviews tape of himself during practice. His passion for soccer builds as he studies his dribbling and shots again and again, his passion and dedication as an athlete shining through. His former teammates from Esperion’s Team B meet him when he reaches the bus stop and exits the bus, making clear how pivotal they were in helping Ashito reach this point and how critical they will be in helping him develop further.

With AOASHI returning with its second season just as global enthusiasm around soccer has never been higher, this new season of anime is set to hone and educate this passion into lifelong students of the game.
