Bosgame M5 Review

Дата публикации: 09-09-2026 16:34:38

The BOSGAME M5 is expensive, but it backs that price up with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395, Radeon 8060S, and 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8533. Strong productivity performance, excellent 1080p gaming, dual USB4, and useful performance modes make it an easy recommendation for creative professionals.

Introduction

AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 gives the BOSGAME M5 a very different hardware profile from the office-focused Mini-PCs that still make up much of this category. The 16-core Zen 5 processor is paired with Radeon 8060S integrated graphics and—in my review configuration—128 GB of LPDDR5X memory plus a 2 TB Kingston PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. That combination gives the M5 enough CPU, graphics, and memory resources to target development, content creation, virtualization, local AI, and gaming from one compact system.

The 128 GB memory configuration is a particularly important part of that design because the processor and Radeon 8060S share the same memory pool. AMD allows as much as 96 GB to be allocated to the graphics side, giving local AI and other memory-heavy GPU workloads access to far more memory than most consumer graphics cards provide. That makes the $2,999 flagship configuration easier to understand in context. It is expensive for a Mini-PC, but it also combines an unusually large amount of fast memory with AMD's most powerful integrated graphics solution and a 16-core processor.

The closest comparison in my test pool is the ACEMAGIC Tank M1A+ Pro, which also pairs the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Radeon 8060S with 128 GB of memory. ACEMAGIC currently lists its comparable 128 GB/2 TB configuration at $3,099, leaving only a $100 difference between the two systems. BOSGAME takes a more traditional workstation-style approach to the exterior while also providing dual USB4, Wi-Fi 7, 2.5 GbE, a full-size SD card reader, and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots, so connectivity, service access, cooling, and day-to-day usability become important parts of the comparison.

The M5 also includes a physical Performance Mode button on the front that cycles through Quiet, Balanced, and Performance profiles, with a small on-screen indicator confirming each change. These modes adjust how much power and cooling headroom the system provides under load, giving the user a quick way to favor quieter operation or higher sustained performance. The Tank M1A+ Pro provides a similar feature through its physical performance dial, so both systems give the user direct hardware control over their operating profile without having to enter the BIOS.

HWiNFO reports the memory operating at approximately 4,266 MHz, which corresponds to an effective data rate of 8,533 MT/s on my review unit. BOSGAME's earlier M5 specifications also listed LPDDR5X-8533, although AMD and BOSGAME's current retail specifications list the platform at LPDDR5X-8000. The large memory pool is shared between the processor and Radeon 8060S graphics, which is particularly useful for local AI, virtualization, development, and graphics workloads that can consume far more memory than the 16 GB or 32 GB found in many mini PCs. The tradeoff is serviceability, since the memory cannot be expanded or replaced independently if a module develops a fault.
