Keychron has opened preorders for the G6 HE, a wireless gaming mouse built around a PixArt PAW3955 sensor, 8,000 Hz polling and adjustable Hall effect switches. The swappable-battery model costs $89.99, while a lighter built-in-battery version is listed at $74.99 but is not yet available to preorder. Shipping is expected to begin in late November.
Key takeawaysThe G6 HE pairs competitive-gaming features with a configurable design, including adjustable click actuation, multiple weight options and a charging-dock receiver. Keychron’s battery-life estimates vary substantially with polling rate.
The G6 HE measures 123.7 × 63 × 41 mm and has a symmetrical shape comparable to the Logitech G Pro X design. With its swappable battery installed, it weighs 49 g wirelessly and 41 g when wired. Two optional weight blocks raise the total to 56 g or 66 g, while the built-in-battery model is rated at 42 g.
Keychron plans seven shell finishes: frosted translucent lavender, mint, pink, ice and smoke, alongside solid black and white. This gives buyers a choice between understated finishes and more distinctive colors without changing the core specification.
Sensor and adjustable switchesThe mouse combines a PixArt PAW3955 sensor with a Nordic 54LM20A MCU and supports polling rates up to 8,000 Hz. Its main buttons use hybrid MagOpt Hall effect and optical switches, with 11 actuation adjustment levels and Rapid Trigger functionality. Keychron rates the switches for 100 million clicks and lists 0.65 mm of total click travel.
A 24-step optical scroll wheel is included, as is Keychron’s Zephyr-based ZGM open-source mouse firmware. The combination of adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger is aimed at players who want to tune button response for fast-paced games.
Wireless options and battery lifeThe G6 HE connects over 2.4 GHz wireless or Bluetooth 5.3, and it can also operate through its included 2.5 mm USB Type-C cable. The cable has a flexible housing and angled connector intended to reduce drag and desk interference.
Keychron estimates up to 29 hours of use at 8 kHz, 171 hours at 1 kHz and 248 hours at 125 Hz. Bluetooth battery life is rated at up to 183 hours. As with other high-polling wireless mice, the longest quoted runtime comes at a lower polling rate.
Pricing and preorder detailsThe swappable-battery G6 HE is available to preorder for $89.99 and includes an extra battery plus the TurboLink 8K receiver. The receiver also serves as a battery charging dock and has four customizable buttons for shortcuts, macros and app launches through Keychron Assist on Windows.
Keychron lists the built-in-battery version at $74.99, but it was not available for preorder in the launch information. The company expects shipping for the current preorder model to begin in late November.
