Ingle's Markets, founded in Asheville, is the dominant grocery store chain in the WNC area. They carry a lot of craft beer in their stores, both national brands and virtually every local brewery that distributes. The newer stores have huge craft beer areas, such as the store in Mills River.
The newest store in Fletcher now has a beer and wine bar next to the produce section.

We don't have Ingles around here, but I do like the Lowes Beer Den. It's not as fancy as the Ingles bar they describe in this article, but the draft prices are reasonable and they don't take tips. They have good daily deals too, like on Saturdays they do half-off growler and crowler fills. They have a two drink on-site limit though.
Ingle's has their advantage card, which saves money with many items in their stores and brings a 16 oz down to $5.Other deals in the area:
Hi-Wire Monday's $5 for a 20 oz mug, Tuesday $5 for a pint, for flagships.
Burning Blush in Mills River Wednesday $4 flagships.
Mills River Brewing, Tuesday $4.50 flagships
Appalachian Mountain Brewing, Mills River, Tuesday $4 pints, Thursday $15 pitchers, ($3.75/pint) flagships.
I'm sure there are others, but a lot of these are more word of mouth than advertised.
