Two men sustained injuries and were taken to hospital

A man who has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after two men were reportedly assaulted outside an Essex pub has been named. Police were called at about 11.45pm on Wednesday, July 1 to reports of the assault in Epping New Road, Buckhurst Hill.

Two men sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. Police launched an investigation which led to the arrest of a a 27-year-old man from Loughton by West Mercia Police.

Now, 27-year-old Taylor Wing, of Hillyfields in Loughton, is charged with two counts of attempted murder, as well as one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place, making threats with a bladed article in a public place, and possession of a Class B drug.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 6, where he was further remanded to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, August 3.
