With the bash tool I can easily drag one part and automatically snap and align it to another part. This is really useful, but it can be frustrating that I don't have more control over where it snaps from and how it aligns.
An interactive tool that would help me easily change the anchor point would be really helpful. This would allow me to snap from different points on the part and align it in a different direction and with a different orientation. This way I can decide where the top and bottom, or front and back of my part are.
* Note that some apps like Maya call this the pivot, while others like Blender call it the origin
For example:
I have a part that was designed to be vertical, like an ladder, but I want to easily lay it on it's side regardless of where I drag it in my bash
I have a part like an engine that has the anchor on the top so I can easily mount it under the wing, however for my bash I'd rather snap it from the front or back center instead.
I cut a part in half or built a new part with the combine tool and now that anchor/pivot no longer makes sense, so I want to move and reorient the anchor so it's in a more logical place for my new part.
