A power outage is impacting at least eight major intersections near downtown Durham during the Monday morning commute.

Around 8:15 a.m., the Durham Police Department posted on Facebook:

Heads up, Durham! A power outage has the lights completely out at these intersections:

• Mangum Street at City Hall Plaza

• Mangum Street at Parrish Street

• Mangum Street at Main Street

• Main Street at Corcoran Street

• Main Street at Duke Street

• South Street at Blackwell Street

• Mangum Street at Morehead Avenue

• Roxboro Street at N.C. 147

Intersections should be treated like a four-way stop when the traffic lights are not working. Drivers should come to a full stop and take turns crossing the road.

WRAL News is working to learn the cause of the outage.

Duke Energy's outage map shows multiple outages in the area impacting at least 1,000 customers.
