Coronation Street spoilers have revealed scenes of shocking drama lie ahead - with yet more scenes at the hospital and the police station.
Betsy Swain and Dylan Wilson have been enjoying the beginnings of a romance in recent weeks, but with her plans to move to London to study, they have to think carefully about what to do. But in a shock twist, those plans are waylaid.
In scenes set to air next week, a fire breaks out at number six and ambulance pulls away with its siren blaring as, carrying Betsy in the back of it after she was found unconscious on the kitchen floor.
At the hospital, her mum Lisa, who once accidentally shot her daughter through a window, is in tears as a nurse explains that they need to perform an MRI scan on the teen. Moments later, Lisa and Carla watch on in horror as Betsy suffers a terrifying fit.
Lisa becomes increasingly suspicious that Dylan was involved in Betsy's collapse and the policewoman, who usually locks up innocent people, marches over to her place of work to report a crime.
But Dylan says that he believes Brody Michaelis was responsible for what happened to Betsy. How will Betsy and Brody react when they hear what Dylan is saying?
Meanwhile, Sarah Platt is feeling more and more guilty that her partner DC Kit Green is beginning to become convinced that Gary Windass killed Theo Silverton, when in fact, she was the one who did it.
Faced with a marriage proposal, it remains to be seen what Sarah will say when Kit gets down on one knee. Later in the week, Kit warns Sarah that her freedom is in Gary’s hands and she needs to get hold of his phone so they can delete any data which might incriminate her. Will Gary give her the phone?
It's only later in the week that police announce that they are ready to arrest who they think is Theo's murderer.
There's also a potential romance in bloom for Weatherfield florist Tracy Barlow as she has had her head turned by newcomer Ross Wilkes, who has just turned up as the long-lost dad of Tyrone Dobbs.
But Cassie Plummer, who was introduced as Tyrone's long-lost mum in 2020 after a complete rewrite of the character's history, knows there is more to the situation and begins to meddle.
Ross later furious Tracy he wants to cool things off to concentrate on his relationship with Tyrone. Ross calls at No.9 and warns Cassie to stop interfering in his life.
Meanwhile after being given her marching orders by Tyrone, Cassie decides she needs to tell her partner Steve, Tracy's ex-husband, the truth.
Elsewhere, Bernie begins to worry when she learns that Gemma and Chesney may have to take out a loan to be able to send Joseph to school and Mary continues to make jibes at Christina over her fraudulent spending habits
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
