As foldable devices become more popular and widely available, what was once a novelty has steadily entered the mainstream, meaning brands now have to compete even harder to stand out. For the OPPO Find N6, its main highlights come twofold (pun intended), an impressive camera setup and, most notably, a unique “Zero-Feel Crease” design that virtually eliminates the unsightly fold crease found at the centre of most such devices. The foldable also boasts an upgraded chip to boot, but just how much does that boost its gaming performance?

OPPO’s latest foldable boasts a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED cover display when folded, offering a  2,616 x 1,140 resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate. When in its tablet mode, this expands to an 8.12-inch, 2,480 x 2,248 resolution screen featuring the same 120Hz support and HDR10+ support, making the device identical in size to its older Find N5 brother.

Under the hood is where the improvements lie, as the OPPO Find N6 sports a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU and an Adreno 840 GPU, promising better performance alongside 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage on our review unit.

When put into practice, these upgrades translate into all-around smooth performance when faced with a gaming gauntlet of Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero and Genshin Impact. The former two titles, notorious for pushing mobile hardware to its limits, ran with minimal stuttering or performance hits, and while the device does get rather warm over time, it loses heat equally fast, which is a good balance in terms of thermal management. Most impressively, however, is just how well its “Zero-Feel Crease” design works, making swiping the screen seamless and more akin to a traditional tablet.
