Hi all, we had a kitchen fitted by Magnet about 9 years ago and had to replace the dishwasher this weekend. I bought it through a work scheme and installed it and despite the back of the machine being hard against the wall the front panel (it's an integrated machine) sticks out about 3-4 mm proud of the drawer fronts of the units either side.
Short of putting thicker silicone stop pads in which in my personal opinion is crude (although it works), can Blum drawer mechanisms be adjusted to make the drawer front project a bit more?

Assess the area at the back touching the wall and remove 3mm of plaster.

Is there anything that's stopping the dishwasher going any further back? A pipe crossing over another, or a cable, perhaps?

Or simply pull it out and use a straight edge across the back and measure it front to back then measure the depth of the cabinet you'll then have the deffintive answer if something else is stopping it going back . Worse case as has been said knock some plaster off , it's been done before and will be again .

i wouldnt pack out the draws but you can do using window packings

the cheaper option is what you choose to use

the hardest option is unscrew all the base units and the wall screws and adjust them all forward

I never come across an integrated dishwasher yet that won't fit in the depth of a cabinet and I've done hundreds . There is either some thing obstructing it or the cabinets have been cut down at the back .

if any units are shaved off slightly to fit walls it can be fatal was working at a couple of flats wiring the new kitchens the washer and fridge had to have the plaster taken of the wall at the back to fit :vsad: a bloody nightmare glad it wasnt me who had to do it

because every company that builds the machines that in them dosnt count for the waste pipe at the rear of units more so with washing machines and dish washeres driers have a bigger pipe issue instead

most things dont fit due to the waste pipe behind them and not everyone wants to fit a waste pipe in another cupboard i dont and i hate fitting to them

That's because it's not supposed to be there for integrated appliances as they are not supposed to have anything behind them there's not even space for a plug top , supplys and wastes should be fitted in the nearest adjacent cabinet . And good kitchen fitters / company's will sort that out in the first fix that's why we have extended hoses and sink wastes with spigots were not talking about retro fitting an integrated in some shabby old kitchen because that's a different matter altogether .
Anyway back to the OP if he had a dishwasher in there before there's no reason why one won't go back in . And as it's already been said the most likely cause is the hose , if the inlet on the machine is on the opposite side to the old one and the supply is on the other side the short hose supplied is probably draped across the back of the machine stopping going as far as it needs which is very common . Get a longer hose or hose extension without seeing the job that would be my guess

Thanks for the replies gents. The water/waste connections are indeed in the back of the carcass to the right of the dishwasher one, with the power socket underneath it . The hoses are routed into the recess at the bottom/back of the machine which allows the back of it to sit flush against the wall, and when I felt under the adjacent unit I confirmed that the casing of the machine hard back against the wall behind it.
The only other solution would be that the wall is plasterboard over breeze block and I did say to Mrs. Browser about cutting it away enough to allow clearance for the machine to sit back further but as is her M.O. she wasn't keen for all of that mess etc.
Having been married to her for almost 29 years I've learned to go with the flow a little so I'll let it sit sticking out for a while until her annoyance levels build up sufficiently enough, by which time the weather will have cooled down a bit, and then I'll have it out and cut away the plasterboard so it'll sit flush. ;)

Another possibility is to slim the door front down a little. The big, big problem with this is that the back face would not then be sealed against moisture. If you could come up with a sure-fire way of putting back something equivalent to the factory finish, that would make it less of a fantasy.

The plaster could be removed whilst there is a vacuum cleaner hose positioned so as to catch the dust. Could she live with that?
