Charli XCX has announced plans for a series of album listening parties for ‘Music, Fashion, Film‘ in independent cinemas across the globe this week.

The sessions will take place in the UK, North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Japan on July 9-11.

Details and RSVP information can be found on her website here by clicking on the listed cities.

Among the cinemas listed in the UK are the Castle Cinema in London and the Savoy Cinema in Stockport.

‘Music, Fashion, Film’ is set to land on July 24 and has previously been previewed with the tracks ‘Wink Wink‘, ‘Rock Music’, and ‘SS26’. You can pre-order it here.

The album’s black and white cover is shot by Aidan Zamiri, and sees John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese posing together.

In an interview this year, the artist told British Vogue some of the lyrics to ‘Rock Music’ – prompting speculation that the album would take a heavier direction.

Charli later clarified that she “never said” she was making a rock album, but previously made it clear that she was distancing herself from the sound of ‘Brat’, her seminal 2024 record.

Her latest album listening parties announcement comes after she previously confirmed a North America tour for later this year last month. You can view the tour dates here and purchase any remaining tickets here.

Elsewhere, Charli and Madonna were recently spotted partying together in Paris despite the Queen of Pop’s “dancefloor is dead” comments.

She later opened up about hanging out with the Queen of Pop saying she “found it very inspiring”.

Charli also recently opened up about her mental health struggles, saying she has difficulty coming to terms with online discourse about her.

“I am finding it tough to … I don’t know,” she said at the time. “I’m finding my emotions are very, very volatile at the minute, I’ll be honest.”

Elsewhere, Charli also opened up about her Indian heritage, saying it can be “difficult” to understand her “identity” as a mixed-race person, after seeming to make reference to it in the lyrics to ‘SS26’.

She will return to the stage to make her headline debut at Reading & Leeds in August, topping the festival bill alongside Fontaines D.C., Raye, Florence + The Machine, Dave and Chase & Status. Visit here for tickets.

Meanwhile, the designer behind the ‘Brat’ album recently opened up about his design process and the cover’s evolution.
