Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova used lobster emojis in her social media posts as a subtle code for her ex-dance partner Dan Walker. 

The phrase 'you're my lobster' became popular after it was used on the American sitcom Friends, referring to a soulmate. 

Nadiya, 35, who will join Dan, 47, on her new tour, recently posted a picture with him, captioning it: 'Great to catch up with my old Strictly partner, Mr Dan Walker.'

The pair performed a jive to The B-52’s hit Rock Lobster when they placed fifth on the show in 2021. 

In a recent post, Nadiya added two lobster emojis and, referring to upcoming Q&As in Sheffield and Barnsley, wrote: 'May even persuade him to show us a few steps.' 

Nadiya, who split from Strictly pro Kai Widdrington last July, is often spotted with Dan at events. 

Last week, the two attended The Radio Times Covers Party in London, where Dan joked on social media: 'I had a very important job . . . handbag holder for some glamorous ladies.' 

He added: 'I also held on to the belongings of two-time world champion Nadiya Bychkova.'

Nadiya replied with: 'Thanks partner! You are the best' again adding two lobster emojis.

It comes after the dancer channelled her inner Bond Girl in a skimpy white bikini as she shared a sizzling Instagram snap last month. 

The Strictly star set pulses racing in the sexy throwback snap, as she pined for a sunny beachside getaway.

Nadiya, who recently returned from celebrating the New Year in Slovenia, showed off her dance physique in the plunging white two-piece.

The dancer captioned her post: 'Dreaming of sunshine.' 

Nadiya is understood to be single after ending her relationship with fellow Strictly professional Kai.

The talented dancer originally confirmed their romance in 2022, during an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail Weekend magazine. 

'We've been seeing each other properly for a couple of months now,' she said at the time. 

'It's early days and we've been rehearsing for the Strictly Professionals tour, so there's been very little free time,' she continued.

'But we're getting to know more and more about each other day by day. He's kind and compassionate and makes me laugh. I feel very relaxed with him.'

When Nadiya, a two-time world champion Latin and ballroom dancer and the only Strictly professional who's a mother, joined the show in 2017 the long separations from her fiancé, with whom she lived in Slovenia, took their toll.

'You're apart for so much of your lives and neither of us wanted that. Unfortunately, we grew apart,' she explained. 

'But we'll always be connected by Mila, who we love more than anyone, and we'll do our best to make sure she's the happiest child. It's important to Matija and me that we have a good relationship for Mila's sake.'

'Having a child surpasses everything else. We make sure it all works around her and we both understand our responsibilities.'

Nadiya's childhood home was in Luhansk in the Donbas region, seized by pro-Russian separatists in the 2014 invasion and recently the focus of heavy fighting. 

'My dad isn't allowed to leave Ukraine because he's under 55 and might be conscripted. I always worry about him,' she told Weekend in 2022. 

'My family can hear explosions from their homes. They got used to that eight years ago too.'

'In 2014 Mum escaped on the last train out before the railways were destroyed.'

'For three months there was no mobile phone signal. It was horrible as Dad and my grandparents were still there and I didn't know if they were alive.'

'I saw a video on social media of my grandmother's house destroyed by a bomb. It was terrifying.'
