Kim Kardashian is reportedly skipping the bar exam this year. 

After failing to pass the painstaking test last year, she opted against taking the exam this year - however does intend on taking the bar again in the future, sources told TMZ. 

Insiders have told the website that Kardashian, 45, wasn't present at the February testing and won't be present in July. 

Students have two opportunities to take the California bar exam every year, in February and July. 

Kardashian reportedly intends on waiting to take the test at the earliest next year, however it's uncertain when exactly she will move forward with the bar exam. 

She has until January 4 to decide whether or not she will take the test on February 27.  

The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Kardashian for comment but did not immediately hear back.  

Kardashian originally took the painstaking exam in July, two months after graduating from a four year California Law Office Study Program (LOSP).

The TV personality, who also plays a formidable divorce lawyer in new legal drama All's Fair, is keen to follow in her late father Robert Kardashian's footsteps by qualifying to practice law.

But those ambitions were dealt a significant blow last year after the exam results confirmed she had failed the bar, meaning she can only work in a legal field that doesn't require a license to practice until she passes.

Addressing Instagram followers, Kardashian confirmed she had failed the bar but remained fully focused on becoming a qualified lawyer.

'Well...I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,' she began, referencing her portrayal of feisty Allura Grant All's Fair.

'Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up - just more studying and even more determination.'

A disappointed Kardashian also praised those who have 'supported and encouraged me along the way so far.'

She added: 'Falling short isn't failure - it's fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let's Go!!!!!!!!!!'

During a previous appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the reality star explained that she had taken the bar exam in July and that she was awaiting her results.

'I took the bar exam in July. I get the results a few days after our [All's Fair] premiere. So in two weeks. So everyone please pray for me. I worked really hard,' Kardashian said.

If all went according to plan, Kardashian said she would be 'qualified' in just two weeks.  

'I will be qualified in two weeks. I hope to practice law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want,' she said. 

Kardashian's late father Robert Kardashian had been a lawyer and notably was the defense attorney for O.J. Simpson amid his 1995 murder trial, where he was acquitted.
