Fans of HGTV star Christina Hall were shocked to learn that she and her third husband Joshua Hall are divorcing after nearly three years of marriage. The couple frequently flaunt their romance on social media and they recently signed on to star in HGTV's The Flip Off with her ex Tarek El Moussa. But their split may have been a longtime coming.

A source dished to PEOPLE that Josh and Christina 'had issues in the marriage for quite some time' before Tuesday's divorce filing. This comes exactly four months after Josh declared on Instagram that he and his wife were 'still going strong' after tying the knot in October 2021.

The post is still up on Josh's IG page and features photos of himself and Christina kissing and hugging that were taken over the last four years. TMZ reported that Christina and Joshua had filed for divorce after three years of marriage on Tuesday, July 16, citing irreconcilable differences.

The outlet claimed that the Christina In The Country TV stars submitted their paperwork in Orange County, California on Tuesday. The ex lovebirds stated July 8 was their first day of separation. Joshua is asking for alimony from Christina and does not want to have to give her any money, the site added.

It was also claimed that Joshua has asked the court to 'divvy up what was theirs respectively before they got married.' The reality TV stars wed in October 2021 and have no children together. This will be a third divorce for Christina who was previously married to Tarek El Moussa (2009-2018) and Ant Anstead (2018-2021). 

In wake of the news, Christina deleted the couple's wedding photo from her Instagram. She shared the stunning image in September 2022 after they tied the knot for a second time in front of family and friends in Maui that month. It showed Christina and Joshua — who legally wed in October 2021 — embracing while kissing at the altar as the sunset over the ocean behind them.

In the caption, she called Joshua her 'dream man' and gushed that their nuptials were 'amazing.' 'My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love,' she wrote. Now, the link to Christina's IG post brings up a blank screen with an automated Instagram message that reads: 'sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.' As for Joshua, he still has up the wedding announcement post that he shared on September 10, 2022 - days after their Maui ceremony.

The shock divorce news comes after Christina and Joshua signed on to star on the 2025 HGTV renovation show The Flip Off with her ex Tarek and his new wife Heather Rae El Moussa. Christina and Tarek built a home-flipping empire during their show Flip Or Flop which lasted 10 seasons. But it ended after a very publicized divorce. This year they have been working together again on the new spinoff called The Flip Off with Tarek's wife Heather and Christina's now estranged spouse Joshua. The show is set to air on HGTV in early 2025 with a two-hour premiere.

'During the series, Tarek and Christina, along with Heather and Josh will compete to see who can find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain (and a chance at major bragging rights),' HGTV said on its site. Christina and Joshua seemed to be doing well earlier this summer as they were seen with her children in Instagram posts. In March they were seen holding each other and kissing when on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
