She might Love The Way You Lie, but Rihanna did not love her bodyguard's brief lapse in judgment - and she didn't hold back in telling him.

The 37-year-old singer was leaving the Four Seasons Hotel in New York over the weekend when the incident occurred.

The Work singer was in Manhattan ahead of her partner, A$AP Rocky, making his Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend. 

In clips shared online, Rihanna, who looked chic in a pair of black pants with an oversized jacket and sunglasses, left the hotel through a set of double doors.

As she walked outside, the man in front of her - believed to be her bodyguard - exited first, leaving the door to swing back and hit the singer.

'Such a gentleman you are,' the mom-of-three said sarcastically as she pushed her way through.

The awkward moment, which was caught on camera and shared widely on social media, left many people critical of the bodyguard's actions.

Dozens of viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts.

'He is not a gentleman,' slammed one user.  

'The bodyguard should be ashamed,' shared another. 

Someone else wrote: 'I'm not even a superstar and I would have been p**sed. Damn dude.' 

'For y'all people saying god forbid she has to open a door for her self it's not about opening the door for herself.

'It's the principal as a man you walk out of a door before a women, a real man instincts will tell him to hold the door for her,' another wrote. 

'Plus he probably gets paid pretty damn well to adult sit her and makes sure nothing bad happens to her including doors closing in her f**king face.'

The singer didn't let the door slam stop her from enjoying her night out as she joined A$AP in attending the glitzy afterparty following his appearance on SNL, hosted by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, 23.

Last week, the singer sent fans into a tailspin after hinting she may want a fourth child.

The Fenty Beauty owner responded to a video uploaded to Instagram by former Love Island star Montana Brown, 30, who shared her thoughts for the New Year.

'Deciding to get hot and sexy or get pregnant in 2026,' the reality star, who shares two children with her fiancé Mark O'Connor, wrote over a playful video of herself appearing to be deep in thought over the dilemma.

Rihanna took to the comment section and added: 'Wait! So I'm not crazy then? Bet!' 

The nine-time Grammy winner and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki, on September 13. 

They are also parents to two sons, RZA, born in 2022, and Riot, who arrived in 2023.
