A new Sky Comedy series has debuted with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score with viewers praising it as 'one of the best shows of the year'.

The comedy thriller, titled The Chair Company, aired on Sky and premiered on streaming service NOW earlier this month.

The series is written by the team behind American series Saturday Night Live, Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, who are also behind Netflix favourite I Think You Should Leave.

This new series follows office worked William Ronald 'Ron' Trosper, played by writer and creator Tim, 44, as he gets involved in a far-fetched conspiracy.

After an embarrassing incident happens to him at work, Ron becomes hellbent on taking down a chair manufacturer that he's discovered to be negligent.

The trailer sees Ron calling up to make a complaint about a 'massive problem that could cause mass casualties', but his problem goes unanswered and he discovers a conspiracy.

What follows is the main character, who has just been given a promotion at work in the form of his first solo project, then juggles getting to the bottom of the conspiracy with his new job.

It leads him down a twisting and unexpected dark path of 'uncovering a vast criminal' network, where he is followed by lawbreakers.

Joining leading star Tim in the cast, are The Practice actor Lake Bell, IT Part One's Sophia Lillis, Will Price and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Just days after its release, the new series gained itself a perfect 100% score on online reviews site Rotten Tomatoes.

One critic penned: 'One of the best shows of the year, The Chair Company will have you sinking in your recliner.'

While a second agreed: 'The Chair Company is one of the most offbeat and outlandish shows you’ll see this year,' as a third added: 'There is nothing quite like The Chair Company: a show that is emotionally potent while still delivering the perfect marriage between sketch comedy and conspiracy theory.'

A fourth penned: 'Not everyone's humour, however, it is one of my favourites. And the premise of the show is wildly hilarious.'

And a fifth chimed in: 'This show is absolutely hilarious. It helps if you're already a fan of Tim Robinson, but the first episode had me laughing so hard I had to rewind.'

It's both written and created by, and starring Saturday Night Live star Tim Robinson

Episodes of The Chair Company will drop weekly on Mondays in the UK, following its release on Sunday evenings across the pond. It means the finale won't air until November 30.

It comes after Netflix fans were left overjoyed as a crime drama series with a perfect score from critics finally arrived on UK screens.

Western series Dark Winds, which is based on the Leaphorn & Chee novels from Tony Hillerman, was an instant hit on its first release in 2022.

The series, which first launched in America, managed to achieve a rare perfect 100 on reviews site Rotten Tomatoes, from both seasoned and at-home critics.

It follows three Navajo Tribal Police officers in 1971, Zahn McClarnon's Joe Leaphorn, Jessica Matten's Bernadette Manuelito and Kiowa Gordon's Jim Chee.

In the show, which features Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin as an executive producer, much of the action follows the trio investigating crimes in the American Southwest.

Now, years after its first release, the first series of Dark Winds has finally become available to watch in the UK, quickly climbing to the No. 3 spot in the streaming service's coveted charts.

Fans are in luck as the gritty thriller has been renewed for a third season, with a current target release date of early 2025.

The Chair Company is available on Sky Comedy and NOW.
