It’s exciting to receive a wedding invite – who doesn’t love an opportunity to dress up and celebrate their friends tying the knot? Getting invited to multiple weddings, however, that’s a whole different feat. Picking out a wedding guest dress that flatters, fits the dress code and doesn’t break the bank can be quite overwhelming. Having to find more than one that ticks all those boxes seems downright impossible.

But it doesn’t need to be. Michelle Keegan has released a new edit with Very that includes more than a few dresses – and even a three-piece suit – that you could easily wear to one of the many events on your social calendar this season. ‘I wanted to highlight spring/summer occasionwear that easily transitions into timeless wardrobe staples,’ says the actress of the new collection.

From a strapless gown with a neck scarf to a maxi in the season’s hottest colour, the latest drop of Michelle Keegan’s ongoing partnership with the high street label is packed with wedding season pieces. Below, we asked the actress to share five of her favourite looks from the collection – and her tips on how to style each of them.

‘This dress is one of my absolute favourites – the neck scarf detail adds a touch of elegance. Styling it is effortless: a simple heel, a sleek clutch and some gold jewellery create the perfect look. And the pop of blue is such a fun and refreshing choice for summer weddings’.

‘Kitten heels or a cute pair of ballet flats would go perfectly with this dress. I think the high neck keeps it chic and perfect for a wedding guest outfit, but the abstract print in blue and brown adds a playful element if you want to go for a statement look. This is one of my favourite dresses in the collection’.

‘Brown is the colour to invest in – it’s a wardrobe non-negotiable that will always be in style. This dress is so flattering, and the gold detailing elevates it even more. I would style this simply with chunky gold bangles and a strappy heel. I can see this piece at any summer occasion, but especially as an evening look for a wedding overseas.’

‘Spring sparkles are a must! I love the intricate beaded detailing on this – I picked this colour as it just shouts spring occasion for me. I would keep the styling simple with a clutch and gold sandals. It’s all about the detailing on the dress.’

‘Clean and classic tailoring has my heart. I love to have pieces in my wardrobe that I can mix and match. Paired with the matching Wide Leg Trousers (£35), this blazer makes for a chic spring wedding outfit. It can also be styled over the Halterneck Pleated Dress (£65) for colder evenings, or with the Rope Wide Leg Jeans (£35).’
