Mark Wright joked 'don't talk to me about tired right now' as he revealed the one parenting detail he wasn't warned about on Saturday.

The TOWIE star, 38, and his wife Michelle Keegan, 37, announced the birth of their first child, a daughter called Palma, earlier this month and have been enjoying the first few weeks of being parents. 

And now, the reality star candidly opened up about what he's finding difficult as a first-time parent of a newborn on his Heart FM radio show this morning with his co-host Olly Murs.

The revelation came as they read out a message from a listener who said sorting through their clothes is 'tiring'.

Mark jokingly responded: 'Lisa, I'm going to go back to what you just said there, it's very tiring sorting your clothes in your room – don't talk to me about tired right now.

'Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I turned up this morning and Olly went "you look shattered".' 

Laughing, Olly quipped: 'You know what, it's your eyes, it is the first time I've seen these little bags in all the years I've known you, just here, and it is a dad thing, it is a parent thing, all of a sudden you get these little bags under your eyes.' 

Mark agreed: 'Yeah, they say dad bod don't they, they never warn you about dad eyes'.

Despite the lack of sleep, the reality star continued to gush about how much he's loving being a dad. 

He said: 'It is the best thing ever. It is the best thing ever. Except when I am trying to wind her after a bottle at 2am, nightmare.'

It comes just after earlier this week Mark revealed the one dish he wants to teach Palma to make.

In an interview with Essex Life Magazine, Mark shared how he wants to pass on his passion for food to his daughter.

In the interview, conducted before little Palma was born, Mark also offered insight into his cosy dinners with Michelle, sharing that their 'go-to is tapas' when they're enjoying a date night at home.

Mark said: 'I'm definitely going to get my kid into curry, because I love a curry. I feel like you're moulded when you're young, my Mum and Dad used to take us for a curry, that was a night out when we were kids, a curry on a Saturday night at the Rima Tandoori it was called, if I remember rightly.'

The former TOWIE star admitted that food has always been a 'massive hobby' for both him and Michelle.

He added: 'I love my food and I love cooking, it's something that's a massive hobby for Michelle and I.

'Sometimes I'll cook for Michelle, sometimes she'll cook for me, if one of us is coming home late, but normally we'll cook together because we enjoy it.

'Michelle is a little bit better than me - she won't like the ''little bit'' because she thinks she's a lot better! But I am slowly catching her up.'

It also comes just after Michelle shared a glimpse into her sunny day out with Mark and their baby girl with her 7.5 million Instagram followers, as she enjoyed sashimi and salmon nigiri.

The excited actress quipped: 'Waited a long time for you'.

The Netflix star also shared her lavish frozen dessert which had a chocolate sign saying 'congratulations'.

Michelle snapped the picture next to Palma's empty milk bottle and her pram was seen in the background, as she joked that the baby bottle 'used to be a Lychee Martini'.

Hours earlier the former Coronation Street star revealed that she had been 'rotating between her pyjamas and joggers'.

Michelle and Mark have so far only shared a glimpse at their baby girl as they uploaded black and white pictures.

Over the weekend, the actress shared a close-up shot of her baby girl's tiny foot on her Instagram Stories.

Mark has described fatherhood as the 'biggest achievement' of his life since welcoming baby Palma into the world with Michelle on March 6.

Chatting with his best friend and fellow dad Olly Murs on his Heart Breakfast show, Mark recalled the moment he first held his newborn daughter in his arms.

Mark fought back emotions as he said: 'Mate, it's actually hard to put into words.

'It's the biggest achievement of my life its all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.'

Sharing his appreciation for Michelle, he added: 'It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.

'It's the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.'

Recalling the first moment he held Palma, he continued: 'That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.

'I suppose everything else goes out the window and its made me realise what life is all about and my little baby Palma I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

'It's a very special feeling. I cant really put it into words. We've waited a little bit of time, we've chased our dreams and our careers and now we're here. We've got a baby.'

Mark and Michelle announced the news of their daughter's birth earlier this month with a sweet snap shared to Instagram.

In a sweet black-and-white photo, the proud new parents held Palma's tiny hand, with the newborn dressed in a crochet set.

It's believed the couple chose the name Palma because of their strong links to Mallorca, their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photo shoot.

Michelle married Mark in May 2015 and the couple live together in an Essex mansion they built from scratch.
