After four decades of service to the local area, the Samaritan Center has formally announced a significant expansion of its geographical service area. The non-profit organization is officially extending its social services resources to three high-demand neighboring zip codes: 37411, 37412 and 37406

Officials said, "The strategic decision to broaden the agency's boundaries directly addresses a growing need for accessible, localized support systems across the greater Chattanooga, Brainerd and East Ridge areas.

Eligible residents within the newly added zip codes can immediately access a variety of direct aid programs."

These specialized services include:
- Emergency Financial Assistance: Rent and utility support to prevent housing displacement and utility disconnects. 
- Food and Nutrition Access: Allocation of emergency food items, monthly food & basics box and birthday cakes through the Samaritan Center’s food pantry.
- School Supplies & Baby Layettes: Providing students with their choice of backpacks, pencils and supplies to start the year with confidence, and supplying new mothers with essential items ranging from diapers and bottles to medicine and toys.
- Fresh Start Program: Comprehensive distribution of household goods, hygiene items and essential supplies to help families rebuild after a house fire.
