President Donald Trump's love-hate relationship with Taylor Swift continues after the White House used her hit song in a new TikTok video.

The official WH account posted a light-hearted patriotic parody of Swift's chart-topping single, The Fate of Ophelia, which they changed to 'the fate of America' in the captions.

In it, the 35-year-old pop star's lyrics are matched with memorable moments of the 79-year-old Republican politician, including his 2023 mugshot after being indicted on racketeering and related charges.

When Taylor sang 'your team' they flashed an image of Vice President JD Vance, whose 2021 comments about the country being run by 'childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made' insulted her.

In fact, Swift ended her 2024 presidential endorsement for Kamala Harris by signing off as 'Childless Cat Lady.'

Five days later, Donald declared 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!' on his Truth Social account.

President Donald Trump's team playfully trolled Taylor Swift on Monday by using her own music against her

The White House's TikTok account posted a light-hearted patriotic parody of her chart-topping single, The Fate of Ophelia, which they changed to 'the fate of America' in the captions

But all that changed on August 26 when the 14-time Grammy winner announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

'Well, I wish them a lot of luck,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

'I think he's a great player and a great guy, and I think she's a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.'

The Fate of Ophelia is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart while Taylor's 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl topped the Billboard 200 chart (dated November 8) for the fourth week in a row.

The reaction was fast and furious on TikTok where user @tam82469 wrote 'Ohhh Taylor is going to hate you're using her song' in a comment that received over 68K likes.

TikTok user @a..secret5676 posted a snap of Swift looking confused captioned 'Taylor [right now],' which got over 27K likes.

'I'm sure Taylor's going to be thrilled,' TikTok user @courtneymeenink scoffed.

TikTok user @abrianachasse agreed: 'Taylor's gonna be maaaadddddd!'

But some followers were delighted with the White House's parody like TikTok user @bribisch, who commented: 'Marketing needs a raise.'

The list of famous musicians that have blasted the former Apprentice host for using their songs at his political rallies, social media posts and ads has never been longer

On October 20, Kenny Loggins was outraged over Donald using his 1986 hit Danger Zone for his AI video of himself bombing fecal matter on No Kings protesters: 'I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately' (pictured September 27)

In March, Semisonic announced they 'did not authorize or condone' the White House's use of their 1998 song Closing Time in a video supporting the deportation of illegal immigrants (pictured in 1999)

And on February 22, Les Misérables song Do You Hear the People Sing? played at the 2025 White House Governors' Ball despite creators Cameron Mackintosh and Alain Boublil issuing an objection to Trump using it at prior rallies.
