Listing on leading US exchange broadens global liquidity

The WEMIX Foundation said on July 8 that its cryptocurrency WEMIX has been listed on Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the United States.

The listing allows Kraken users worldwide to trade WEMIX against the US dollar (USD). After establishing a presence in South Korea, Latin America and Asia, WEMIX is now expanding into Western markets, including the United States and Canada.

Founded in 2011, Kraken is consistently ranked among the world's top three to five cryptocurrency exchanges in terms of trading volume, liquidity and trustworthiness by major industry data providers such as CoinMarketCap. It is the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States after Coinbase and is the world's largest venue for euro-denominated cryptocurrency trading by fiat volume.

Kraken has also expanded into regulated financial services, establishing Kraken Bank after obtaining a banking charter in the US state of Wyoming. The exchange has maintained a record of never suffering a security breach that resulted in the loss of customer assets since its founding.

The WEMIX Foundation said it plans to further improve accessibility to the WEMIX ecosystem by pursuing additional listings on other major cryptocurrency exchanges.
