Seven of New Orleans’ almost 80 charter schools are up for renewal this year, as the NOLA Public School District steps up communication with parents about schools at risk of being shut down.

And a dispute over the distribution of tourism tax revenue between the Regional Transit Authority and the Morial Convention Center may end up in court. We’ll have the details.
