This is the bloodied face of a school run mum whose car was ploughed into at nearly 60mph by the wife of award-winning singer Rag 'n' Bone Man.

Single parent Samantha Keen was ferrying her three children when their vehicle was struck at speed by a Range Rover which was attempting to illegally overtake a line of traffic stuck behind a tractor.

The frustrated driver was Zoe Graham, 38, who is married to the singer of the 2016 global hit 'Human' and was running late to pick up her own three children.

Mrs Keen and her two daughters and son were said to have been lucky to survive the horror smash in August 2023 – and are still suffering the consequences.

Graham was spared a prison sentence – to the fury of her victim's family who say she has never even apologised for her rash act.

Instead, Judge David Rennie suspended the 12-month prison sentence for 18 months after Graham pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by careless driving.

She married the singer – whose real name is Rory Graham – two years ago, and lives with him in a £1million country house with grounds nearby.

On the day of the crash Mrs Keen had been taking her children to an animal rescue centre when she was hit side-on by the Range Rover.

Graham had illegally crossed double-white lines in the centre of the carriageway in an attempt to overtake a line of cars stuck behind a tractor on a 'dangerous' stretch of road in East Sussex.

The defendant failed to see Mrs Keen's car, a Ford C Max, which was directly in her path while attempting to turn right.

As a result the Range Rover hit the Ford at speed – estimated at being around 55mph – sending it spinning across the road and into a ditch, as Mrs Keen's children screamed in terror.

After her car was catapulted off the road near Ringmer in East Sussex, Mrs Keen was so distressed that two off-duty paramedics who rushed to try to help her later recalled she was screaming for them to not let her die as she didn't want her children to be orphans.

The mother-of-three had been bringing up her children alone after her husband had taken his own life the previous year.

Mrs Keen suffered a catalogue of injuries including a broken ankle, severe soft tissue injury to her right side, cuts and bruising to her face and head and damage to her right hip and leg.

Her three children, who feared their mother would die, suffered cuts and bruises to their faces, heads, arms and legs.

A graphic photo, taken by Mrs Keen's father as she waited to be discharged from hospital, shows her suffering from shock and concussion, with dried blood covering her head, face and chest.

A source said: 'Zoe has never apologised or made any attempt to apologise to Samantha and her family, even when she was standing next to her stretcher in the hospital A&E department in Brighton.

'Instead she was just kicking up a fuss about wanting to leave the hospital as soon as possible and then she left before being seen by medical staff.'

The source said: 'Despite overwhelming evidence against her, Zoe Graham pleaded not guilty to the charges and was then able to drive around at her leisure for almost three years despite what she had done.

'During this time Samantha, who suffered devastating medical problems and post-traumatic stress disorder, and her family were trying to rebuild their lives.

'The added stress of waiting for a court trial led to more agony for Samantha and her family.

'Samantha was unable to work due to her injuries and the financial impact has been horrendous. She now has life-long injuries which she must manage while also trying to care for her three children.'

The source said the horrendous crash came just months after Ms Keen's husband, Jason, 35, died by suicide after spending several years battling serious mental health problems.

The source also said: 'Samantha and the children were obviously devastated by their loss in 2022. Samantha was hoping the summer holidays would give her a chance to build some happy memories with her children as a way of rebuilding after their recent trauma.

'All the children love animals and she was taking them to Raystede Animal Welfare Centre for a lovely day out.

'The CCTV video of the accident is shocking. It was clearly a reckless manoeuvre on a dangerous road.'

The source added: 'What that family has been through is heartbreaking to hear about. Samantha and her children's grandparents have been a tower of strength for them.'

Graham broke down in tears in court as she told the judge how sorry she was for causing the crash.

Sobbing uncontrollably, she told the judge she was late to pick up her own children and had seen the slow-moving tractor in front of her and thought it safe to overtake, even though she admitted seeing the double-white lines.

She said she had suffered nine years of domestic abuse from an ex-partner who had deliberately made her late to pick up her children in the past which caused her anxiety about being late.

However, the source said: 'Zoe Graham could have apologised to Samantha and the children any time during the last three years. Instead she saved her words for a judge in an attempt to avoid prison. The family thinks it's appalling.'

Hove Crown Court heard compensation for the crash would be considered by a civil court at a later date.

Graham has three children from a previous relationship while her singer husband has a son.
