Sierra-at-Tahoe is introducing a new parking reservation program for the 2026-27 winter season designed to ease traffic congestion, according to a press release. 

Parking reservations will be required on weekends and holiday periods between Dec. 19, 2026, and April 4, 2027, until noon. The new system comes after feedback from guests and the local community about the impacts of the previous first-come, first-served parking model during high-volume days.

Parking reservations will be free for season passholders and for carpoolers with four or more passengers in a vehicle on days their pass is valid. For all other guests, parking reservations will cost $25 per day.
