Proton subsidiary PRO-NET has announced the expansion of the eMAS residential charging ecosystem, with more than 1,500 charging points now available across over 500 participating condominiums and high-rise residences nationwide. The company said the initiative is aimed at addressing one of the key challenges facing EV adoption in Malaysia, particularly among urban residents who live in apartments and condominiums without access to private home chargers.
PRO-NET reveals that the charging network now spans key regions including the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor, while additional locations have also been deployed across Sabah, Sarawak and other major cities. It added that the network will continue to expand as demand for EV charging infrastructure grows.
Image: ProtonThe residential charging programme forms part of Proton’s effort to integrate charging, connectivity, and ownership services into a single ecosystem. By consolidating these functions within the official eMAS app, the company highlights that users can locate chargers, start charging sessions and make payments without having to rely on multiple third-party apps.
Proton e.MAS owners can access residential chargers through the app by following these steps:
Image: ProtonAdditionally, owners can access special residential charging rates starting from RM0.63 per kWh at participating locations through the eMAS App. This is a limited-time promo, which is currently ongoing until 31 December 2026.
PRO-NET says Proton e.MAS owners and interested residents can check whether their locations are applicable via this link. They may also register their interest for future charging infrastructure deployments within their residential developments via the same page.
