Margot Robbie’s "Wuthering Heights" Home Is Basically a Gothic Fairy Tale IRL

Дата публикации: 05-02-2026 17:30:02

The love story we've all been waiting for (and probably one we could all brush up on) is the 2026 adaptation of "Wuthering Heights," making its way to theaters on February 13. The film, based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, and is written and directed by Emerald Fennell of "Saltburn" fame. Needless to say, we can expect something mystical, romantic, and visually striking - which is exactly what the latest Architectural Digest tour of the set delivers.
Production designer Suzie Davies and Margot Robbie took AD inside the set of Thrushcross Grange, Earnshaw's home in "Wuthering Heights," and it's every bit as magical as you'd expect. The film's $80 million budget allowed Davies to transform soundstages into lush, mystical gardens and fully realize Fennell's fresh vision. Rather than strictly adhering to historical realism, the film leans into gothic romance and expressive, imaginative touches. It's less a literal recreation of the period and more of an interpretation shaped by Fennell's imagination - an approach that's on full display throughout the tour of Earnshaw's home.
If you've loved the previews and sneak peeks released so far, you'll be just as taken with the set itself and the shoppable pieces we've found to match.

Earnshaw's Dining Room

Gothic, chic, and grand, Earnshaw's dining room is anything but bland. The centerpiece of the room is a dollhouse, which inspired much of the design, and even includes a miniature version of the dining room inside. The walls feature subtle bubbles to give a slightly damp feel. A long dining table is dressed with elaborate meals throughout the film, all anchored by the room's stunning chandelier, which is lit with real candles. They even went the extra mile with real fires in the fireplace.

Earnshaw's Bedroom

Also called the "skin room," every surface — walls, floor, everything — is designed to look like Earnshaw's skin. In fact, the team took photocopies of Robbie's arm, developed them onto stretchy fabric, padded the fabric, and then laid latex over the top. The result is a monotone pink room layered with rich textures, from silk to quilted bedding.

Earnshaw's Drawing Room

Decked out with crystal walls and silk beneath, this room is grand, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows framed with elegant curtains. Each window actually opens, which isn't exactly typical on a set — and yes, the courtyard in the back is real (more on that later). The moody blue room includes velvet touches but remains fairly barebones, giving it a dramatic, cinematic feel.
