A cool and comfortable dress is a summer wardrobe staple and according to shoppers one option from Sainsbury's has nailed the brief.

The Sainsbury's Jersey Mini Panel Dress (£12.50) offers a loose fit with a mini length, ideal for an easy option to throw on when it's hot outside. What's more, it comes in six colours so you can mix things up depending on your style.

The jersey fabric is made from 95% cotton and 5% elastane (exclusive of trims) and is machine washable. The dress, which is from the supermarket's TU Clothing line, comes in six colour choices - black, dark red, lime green, navy, white or yellow. It's available in sizes 6 to 20.

Sainsbury's product description for the dress reads: "Add our lovely panel dress to your capsule this season. Designed in a timeless jersey fabric, it comes in a sleeveless style. Cut to a mini length - it's an ideal choice for smart weekday outings."

The effortless summer dress has impressed Sainsbury's shoppers so far and has earned an average rating of 4.7 stars out of five, across 22 reviews. 94% of customers said they would recommend it to others.

One customer said: "I bought this dress online for work and was surprised at the great quality of the material. The colour was stunning and the fit was perfect for this hot weather - nice and flowy. Great in the current heatwave. I may buy it again in another colour. I like the style and it is well made and comfortable."

Another said: "Absolutely love this dress. I bought two. Very well cut. Lovely quality cotton."

A third said: "I bought the same dress in lime green and wore it on my recent holiday. It was excellent for sightseeing or an evening in a taverna - a real all-rounder. So on my return home I couldn't resist the black".

The lowest rating the dress got was three stars from one customer, who said: "I bought this for the colour along with the black one. Unfortunately the yellow is far too see through but keeping it to wear as a nightdress".
